Hi, thanks for stopping by. My name is Meher.

I am a journalist based in New York City most interested in reporting on stories of climate change, global development, equity —— and intersections between these topics.

I’ve hopped around quite a bit. Currently, I do curation at TED. I also recently worked as production assisatant at Oregon Public Broadcasting’s flagship public affairs radio show, Think Out Loud. You can find my author page here.

As a journalist, my work has appeared in award-winning magazines such as The Nation, The New Yorker, and Living Bird.

In addition, I oversee all production of The Good City  ——  a new urbanization and solutions-focused podcast by the Cornell Art, Architecture, and Planning School’s Mui Ho Center for Cities.

Outside of journalism, I really love:
- expanding my music taste

- learning to cook new recipes as a life-long vegetarian
- making kitchenware and other such useful things out of clay
- sitting outside in the sun
- exploring the outer bouroughs of New York City
- people watching
- hyperfixating on niche subjects (right now I’m thinking a lot about: the rise of far-right politics in eastern Germany as the country is nearing its legal climate action goals. This is subject to change relatively soon.)
